    Hornady 223 brass :(

    I have a couple hundred pieces of star line brass for 223 and 6 creed. I am on my first loading for both cases, so far no issues. If you are not pushing for pressure/performance it seems like a good value. I just ordered a two hundred more pieces of 223 brass tonight.

    Yep 2900 would be a stretch for me as well. If 3000 FPS AND 800 yds is your goal you would be better off with the PRC. My barrel is a 7 twist.

    I have an 18” 6 creed. With 108 ELDMs I getting 2845 with 43.5 gr of N555. This 0.5 gr below book max. I have not tried any other powders yet. I don’t see me getting anywhere close to 3000 with a 108 in the creed.

    PAC boots. Anyone hunt in them??

    I have a pair of Hoffman Pack boots that I have hunted in. Mine are not to bad to hunt in, a little bit more ankle support would be nice. Mine are caulk boots so I only wear them when it is really wet and I except to be walking/climbing on blowdown and brush.
