Got out for some summer crop damage shooting, apologies for the lack of photography, but it was 100 degrees f, so had to get to cutting promptly.

A little crew vs crew relay race at work, go as hard/far as you can before another team member takes over:
200 cal assault bike
200 cal ski-erg
225 yd tire flips
225 yd 90lbs med ball carry (on chest)
225 yd Farmers carry 70 lbs kb
All for time
In your position, I would start off with say 3-5 factory loads. The minimum providing you with an ample amount of shots to season/break in the barrel. Since you went tikka the breaking in part is probably less of factor, but don’t be surprised if the barrel starts to come into its own with more...
@Luked, found this thread thinking the same question. I would not feel in anyway short changed shooting a savage from an accuracy/quality standpoint, especially with 110/111. Pretty much every savage I’ve shot over the last ten years has been a shooter, including my 243 win varmint (boringly...
I see where you are coming from, but it is important to understand that the conclusions made by form are often accompanied by many other examples from other testing and running the shoot2hunt schools.
@JTabas1989 I hear you there big guy, no new trigger should be dying at that round count. For the sake of everyone’s learning, you should ask the folks at rise what failed, would be curious to know if they’re actually trouble shooting it, or just chucking it and sending out a new one

Dude, people are just genuinely interested in what failed on the trigger, could be super helpful in allowing others to be proactive and maybe prevent the same problem on one they currently own.
In your last post you act as if it’s self explanatory, assume we don’t know what you do...
I’ll add in another vote for criterion, dropped an 18” hybrid contour 1:8” twist in mine for coyote. Drives tacks with 55 gr vmax factory. Also 1 to 1.2” ten shot groups with aac 77 gr tmk’s.
I think with a headspaced bolt, my order came to about $415
One can hope, the size of the bill is the worrying part, more for senators to object too. This said, even if we can knock down the tax stamp, that would still be huge.
More than likely, the lack of structure to this release has to do with the niche nature of the cartridge. I gave their podcast a listen, and they’re really driving it towards the PRS guys that want to eke out a more minute balance of performance factors between the 6/6.5 creeds. While still a...
