    What the closest face-to-face encounters you've had with animals while hunting?

    Had a Wisconsin black bear start climbing up there first few steps of my hang on, staring right at me! Started carrying a 44 mag revolver with me after that while I bow hunt. Thankfully most bears are skittish.

    Heated vest experience?

    I have the ScentLok BE1 Reactor vest. I wear it as a layer actually under my heavy coat. Keeps me super warm. And I can use any USB battery I want. I tried it as an outer layer but the heat then has to go through all your layers. Closer to my body and I never got cold.

    I just set one up on an older Mathews Z7 and then again on a Phase 4. I have the very basic version (Xero A1). BUT I didn't think setup was bad at all. Just follow the prompts on the screen. Once its setup its pretty awesome to just sight a target and have it set auto set the pin. For me hunting...

    Your first deer rifle?

    Winchester lever action 30-30 with a peep site! Lucky had the opportunity to buy it from our family friend who let me use it as a youth. Shot a lot of deer with it. Short and punchy for Northwoods Wisconsin brush hunting.
