I almost gave up on my ARC due to lack of temp stable powders.
I first found a .25” group with 95 smk and 29.5gr of varget at 2775. Then for a slightly cheaper and better hunting bullet, tried to short 85 Sierra bthp with the same charge of varget and it is unreal how consistently accurate that...
I have my 6.5 tikka at the shop now getting cut to 16.5. I’m planning on trying the 140 load that shot well at 24” and if it does good, I’ll probably stick with it. If not, I’ll try 123-130 eld.
I tried them in my 6arc bolt gun but couldn’t get them to shoot well. The factory ammo with them didn’t do that great for me either. Around 1-1.5”
I have very good luck with Sierra 85 bthp though. It’s a shorter bullet than the 80, but it’s printing .19-.3” groups at 2885 out of my 20” arc
