    Best I can do out of an 18.5” howa mini is a stiff load of Tac and a 120 eld getting me 2,493fps on average.

    Vortex viper HD 2-10x42 I’ve been enjoying my 3-15 version of this scope. 2-10 should be plenty for 250y. Definitely impressed with the clarity on the glass. Adjustments are positive also. Plus illumination for low light. Good luck whichever choice you go with.

    At your max distance I’d go Grendel. I’ve had two pass throughs with the 123sst both at 45 yards. FPS on that cartridge 2410 out of a howa 1500.

    I load a bit for the 6.5 Grendel in a howa 1500 mini. My 123 sst loads are 27.9 and 28.0gr of h335 and Tac respectively speaking. Velocities around 2430fps. Edit to add: barrel length 18.5”

    It’ll be my first year trying them but I’m getting 2715fps out of an 18” xbolt. They are accurate enough.

    They shoot good for me with a softer felt recoil out of my 6.5 Creedmoor than the same powder charge with 130 TMK’s.

    I’m running a 22” barreled xbolt with 130tmk’s. Velocity with h4350 near max is 2,840fps. This year is the year to find out what they’ll do. My vote is TMK, they were cheaper for me. Based on the 77tmk it made my decision easier.
