    7mm-08 and 162 ELD-M

Sorry for the bore dia. quote... I was thinking about my 22 Creedmoor because that's what I working on right now.

    7mm-08 and 162 ELD-M

What twist are you running? The data you are showing is for 1:9.5 twist... as the twist rate gets faster the pressures increase, as in 1:7 twist. Now please don't take my numbers as gospel, because GRT like QL both are just estimations and only as good as the information inputted into the...

    Little better at 2.9.

    7mm-08 and 162 ELD-M

FYI.... I plugged your numbers into GRT and your pressures exceed SAAMI to the tune of +16000 psi on the top end and +5000 on the bottom charge. I wouldn't expect very good brass life at those charges. Probably also be a smart idea to keep an eye on your bolt lugs and check your headspace from...

    22 Creedmoor twist rate

FYI.... This is where all this becomes confusing and contradictive. I have an article published on loaddata.com dated Sep 13 2022, that gives his recorded load data with velocities from a 1:7 twist bbl using 5 different bullets and 9 different loads per bullet. I used a Bullet Spin Rate...

I have an article published on loaddata.com dated Sep 13 2022, that gives his recorded load data with velocities from a 1:7 twist bbl using 5 different bullets and 9 different loads per bullet. 250 Savage AI or 25 Creedmoor?

The 25 Creedmoor was a copy of the “2Fity-Hillbilly” that was a wildcat back in 2017. I have always wanted a 250 Savage for some unexplained reason. I have two different rifles in 257 Roberts. I only posed the question to find out if there was some "Magic" to the 25 Creed by comparison that I...

250 Savage AI or 25 Creedmoor?

    I have a 1:9 twist blank.

250 Savage AI or 25 Creedmoor?

I'm looking for some real world experience on these two options. I have been in the process of putting together a 250 Savage AI for a while. I have been collecting brass for some time and have close to 600 pieces, I have the dies and a barrel blank. Now that the 25 Creed has available brass...

    Bullet Disintegration

I'm curious if there is any published information available as to the Max RPM a given bullet has to kept under before disintegration will start to occur? Do the bullet manufacturers have this info? Or is this something found through trial and error?

    22 Creedmoor twist rate

Well... all I can say is that my Smith is shooting a 22 Creedmoor Improved (40 deg shoulder) with 6.5 tw, and he has no issues 80 gr and up.

    22 Creedmoor twist rate

In the Peterson load data, it states that Sierra recommends a twist rate of 1 in 6.5” or faster for barrels shooting their 95gr HPBT. So I'm a little confused here.

    22 Creedmoor twist rate

What brand of bullets and at what velocities are you fellows experiencing your bullets coming apart? In checking the Berger Twist Rate Stability Calculator, I don't find any issues even going down to their 80gr with a 6.5 tw at 3525 fps.

    22 Creedmoor twist rate

Well I was planning on shooting heavies, but I was just curious about lighter bullets. I read different articles along with Peterson's testing data, and they were all using 7 twist. I was hoping to be able to use this blank only because I had it.

    22 Creedmoor twist rate

I am currently having an X-Caliber barrel with a 6.5 twist rate chambered in 22 Creedmoor. I already had the barrel blank. I have never had a 22 Creedmoor and I am curious as to what the lightest bullet weight that it could reliably be expected to stabilize.
