    Getting away from higher end clothes.

    They weigh 14.8 oz compared to Kuiu Kutana's 13.3 (poly vs nylon, so not apples to apples, but similar pant). The leg vents are more perforated mesh, but they work (10" long). Front pockets have the same perforated mesh material. The vents behind the knee are about 1"x6" so they may help...

    Thanks for the info on the Rem700. It's a good gun and a 308 so the barrel should have plenty of life left (I just don't shoot it much anymore) so I don't mind selling it. I did email Hawkins for their input on using a standard mag with the spacer, so I'll see what they say.

    Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I have a Rem700 that I could also rebarrel, but I invested a lot into the Origin build components and I like the stock, scope, and trigger. I was hoping to get more out of those components with interchanging barrels, but I guess I have some decisions to make.

    I also just purchased one to get more range practice. I got the compact model, which is the youth model with 20" barrel, 8 twist, but I'm in a suppressor free state, so this is as short as the barrel will get.
