After spending the day pouring over Forms post in the reloading forums I’m just gonna shoot a 15-20 rd group of the 143eldx and 147 eldm and see what the larger group sample looks like compared to the 140g bergers.
Has anyone tried the Type 1 designs seating depth tool yet?
My 6.5 prc tikka loves the Berger 140g elite hunters and can consistently get 5 shot groups around .5-.75 and 15 shot groups around 1.5-1.75.
It shot Hornadys 143eldx and 147eldm ok, was getting right around 1 inch 5 shot groups with...
Headed home from my first Colorado elk hunt and I’m hooked. I was shooting 140g bergers out of my 6.5 PRC Tikka. A group of 7 of us came and hunted in groups of 2-3 with OTC elk tags. Plan was to take the first legal bull I could and managed to do it on day 2. Me and a buddy did a quick 1.5 mile...
I ended up going with the uninsulated nevadas and so far they have been pretty comfortable. Got a couple miles in the riverbed close to my house with a weighted pack and don’t have any complaints. Should have them finished breaking in by next week and will get a good 5-6 mile scouting/hike in...
I’m looking at getting a new pair of crispis and trying to limit how many returns I have to do. I am between a pair of Laponia 3 or Nevadas. I have primarily hunted Commifornia but doing a second season Colorado Elk Hunt this year. I have tried on a pair of nevadas and guides and they fit well...
I haven’t been able to get any of that yet. I’ll try to order a box of that and a box of Noslers trophy grade, either 140g or 142g. Just don’t wanna keep spending money if nothing is going to be drastically better than the 140g Berger since it’s accuracy is spot on.
So I am looking for any input or actual experience. I don’t reload so I’ll be stuck to factory loads for now. I am setting up my Tikka T3X in 6.5prc for my Colorado elk hunt. I have shot 143g ELDX, 147g ELDM, 156g elite hunter Berger, Federal 130g terminal ascents, 140g Nosler BT, 140g Berger...
Selling my lightly used Bergara Wilderness Ridge Carbon 7PRC. It has rougly 200 rounds through the rifle with no blemishes on the action, barrel, or stock. The rifle has a 22 inch Bergara Number 6 Cure Carbon Fiber Barrel with a Salmon River 4 Port Muzzle Brake. The brake does a great job and...
I’d second this whole response. I’m even considering selling my 7PRC since I have gotten my tikka 6.5prc dialed in. I shoot it better with only 100 ft lbs of energy different at 1000 yards
But for OP, I have a Bergara Wilderness 7PRC with the Carbon barrel. Shoots good, I am just more...
Hoping someone has a Tikka T3X in 223 they are wanting to get rid of. I have been wanting to get one as a training gun but my kid just got her first 22 rifle so I definitely need something cheaper to shoot a ton than my 6:5 PRC and 7PRC
Selling my Fierce Carbon Rogue in 6.5 PRC, 20 inch barrel with omnibreak. I’d say it’s got roughly 150-175 rounds through it. Shoots Hornadys 143 ELDX well right around 3/4 inch for 4-5 shot groups. Included with sale is Talley lightweight 1 piece 30mm medium rings and magpul bipod if buyer...
