    Your Top FIXED blade BH

Kudu is by far the most accurate fixed blade that I have ever shot. I mean these things are field point accurate, and ive taken them to my block target out to 100 yards. theyre sharper than hell and tough as hell too. Kudus get my vote 100% of the time.

    Nock tuning arrows?

I would have to agree with you. I have done it plenty of times. Now, i dont really bother with it. I think time spent behind the bow getting sight marks is bigger bang for your buck. I do appreciate the things Shooter Mike has posted here. I have dont all the nock tuning and at the time it...

How many of us regularly shoot at long distance for practice?

I like to practice and hang out shooting at the furthest distance I can hit tight groups but still be challenged. With my hunting rig, sometimes its 55 yards, sometimes its 70. Usually beyond 70 my groups get a little too big for comfort. Making good shots with a little bit of a challenge and...

Talk to me about your archery training schedule

I do an hour before work, hit the range, bring my block target to the practice range. My block target has duct tape on it that makes a +, I start at 20, when I hit dead center i walk back to 30, hit center, walk back, all the way to 90 yards. at 90 I start to get a little worried im gonna miss...

What vanes do you all use?

I also run the AAE Max Stealth in 3 fletch. I want to tell you guys, if your bow is tuned, just about any hunting vane will do it. Currently I have the Max stealths, but last year i ran 4 fletch blazers and they pounded. I went to 3 fletch blazers and they pounded. 2.1 Q2is pounded. AAE...

Victory Spine Alignment Up or Down. Does it matter??

I've shot target archery for about 7 years, so I have been a nut when it comes to building arrows. When I had alot of time on my hands, I would shoot bareshafts at 50 yards and turn nocks until all arrows grouped together. Was this spine aligning? could be. I have heard from guys like George...

Return of the a Achilles tendinitis

Direct Health is where i ordered - its pricey - $135, but i would easily pay that to have my achilles healed. I know BPC 157 use to be much cheaper before Rogan blew it up, i had it in pill form years ago and it only cost me $40. Keep in mind pill form isnt as effective- or rather it takes...

Return of the a Achilles tendinitis

I totally forgot about BPC 157, I have a friend who is a professional mountain bike racer, he swears by bpc 157 and has been using it to treat his injuries for years! Thanks for the reminder man, I just ordered some nasal spray bpc157-tb500 to use in conjunction with the PT (alfredson...

Suggestions for a recoil shy rifle

The 6 CM is still at the top of my brain list The 223 is also super enticing but if I am going to be stuck to a single type of bullet that might be hard to get, that will be a bummer. I checked out the DRT website and alot of their stuff is sold out :( I do like that they sell in bulk however

Suggestions for a recoil shy rifle

I like this, a huge part of me wants to go 223, because i feel like ill learn to shoot the best and will get more range time in a cartridge like that. If the thread is "223 for everything," I've read it, I dig it, its what sold me on the 223 to begin with :D

Suggestions for a recoil shy rifle

Hell yea, thank you Jay, this is some great info here. I will drop the Grendel from the list that's great. So far what i got is: 223 with 77 grain copper bullets but long range will be a no 243 that im looking at is a 9 twist so that will limit me to some lighter bullets 6cm so far is the king

Suggestions for a recoil shy rifle

The 6 creed has caught my attention as well. I am going to see what the availability is today. As of right now I think I'm narrowed down to a 223, 243, 6cm, 6.5grendel

Suggestions for a recoil shy rifle

It is legal to hunt with the 223 here in California, but we have a lead free bullet restriction because a condor ate a gopher that swallowed a golf pencil a few years back and tested for lead. I really like the idea of getting a 223 and really getting comfortable with slingin some bullets but I...

Suggestions for a recoil shy rifle

I did throw a recoil pad on it, my long shot on the buck was with this setup but it is still a super hard recoiling rifle, with this old rifle, the barrel isnt threaded so a muzzle brake is not an option. But even with the pad i find the 270 to be a bit much, I have to consciously work at not...
