    300 PRC Loads

I have switched to ADG from Lapua for 5 different 300 prc’s now. I like the thinner necks on the ADG and I have been able to get a little more velocity. I am on the 5th firing on one rifle so it’s holding up too. I have used h1000 and Retumbo but I got better accuracy, SDs and velocity with...

7/300 PRC - vs 7 PRC, is this the way it should have been done?

Thank you for the information and for making the change!! Brass is fire-formed, annealed and FL resized now with 0.311 bushing and 0.2825 mandrel. Maybe I will see some better velocity with the once fired brass. I was using data for the 28 Sherman mag shown below as a reference. I figured...

7/300 PRC - vs 7 PRC, is this the way it should have been done?

I’m sorry to bother you with more questions, but there is limited data on the 7/300 PRC and I trust your experience with it. I am having difficulty reaching anywhere near your posted velocities and I am hoping you may have an idea or two. I have ruined the primer pockets on about 25 new...

7/300 PRC - vs 7 PRC, is this the way it should have been done?

Thanks again for the info. I am using ADG brass as well, I have preferred the thinner neck for the 300 PRC vs Lapua. I will load a few the way I have them to sight in/barrel break-in and then see what my fired expansion is. What bushing sizes are you using in the 2-step? Maybe 2 steps will...

7/300 PRC - vs 7 PRC, is this the way it should have been done?

The case of the 7LRM was shortened by around 65thou I believe compared to the 300PRC. Biggest benefit for me of the 7/300 PRC is that I don’t need to purchase proprietary brass and dies from gunwerks. I am already set up for 300 PRC so all I needed to do was buy a 7mm bushing.

7/300 PRC - vs 7 PRC, is this the way it should have been done?

BTW.. with the SAC die, I don’t get the doughnut which I would expect from a typical FL bushing die. The entire neck is being resized.

7/300 PRC - vs 7 PRC, is this the way it should have been done?

Thanks for the info on the 7-300 PRC! I have a pre-fit from PVA being delivered tomorrow. I am seeing 3-5 thou of runout on a few dummy rounds I made last night. Any suggestions? SAC FL die with their .311 shoulder bushing 21st century 0.283 mandrel 195 seated at 3.680 (don’t know the...
