So I couldn’t resist and I had to order one. Got the H6xi 3-18x50. MHR reticle, which is MOA. That wasn’t a deal breaker for me.
I have to say I’m pretty impressed. This is my first Steiner so I wasn’t sure what to expect but fit and finish is good, everything turns smooth, clicks are firm and...
Well this won’t be a whole lot of help but I just got a Steiner H6xi 3-18x50 in the mail. Haven’t spent a whole lot of time with it yet but if the T6xi is the same glass, I think it’s supposed to be, I highly doubt you’ll be disappointed. It’s very clear and very bright. I got a zeiss v6 also...
Just throwing this out there, mostly cause I’m interested and want some other peoples opinions. A fairly new offering from Steiner, based off of the T6xi. No locking elevation but the turret looks small enough that it wouldn’t be easily snagged on things. Capped windage, FFP, illumination. Seems...
I realize this is an old thread. Hopefully you found the scope you were looking for. If so, would you mind telling us what you went with and why? If not, did you consider the Schmidt & Bender zenith 3-12x50? A little less magnification but it does have a capped windage turret and a pretty...
Should probably start a new thread for this but…hoping to gain some traction with this one. Schmidt & Bender make a very comparable scope. The Zenith 3-12x50. How would it compare to the Zeiss as far as durability and glass go? The S&B is FFP which, for me, seems less ideal for the type of...
I have considered that, might be what I end up doing. I know the difference between 2x and 3x is almost nonexistent but the extra on the top end would be nice. Especially since the scopes are basically the same size and weight.
I really wish they offered the 3-18 with a locking elevation turret...
Hello, FNG from Oregon. Rokslide has always been one of my first resources for information when it comes to anything hunting, shooting, gear etc. thought it was time to join. Lots of knowledge out there and I’m looking forward to soaking some of it up.
Thanks for the replies. I have a v6 5-30x50 and while I really haven’t done much with it other than get it sighted in and some load development, it’s a very nice scope and I have no complaints. The way I understand it, being 1/3 MOA basically makes it a MIL scope, 1cm/100m, or at least very...
Does anyone have any first hand experience with a Zeiss v6 2-12x50? I’m really interested in getting one to replace the vx5hd 3-15x44 on my 300wsm for general hunting. I’ve looked around and can’t seem to find much about that specific model. I like the mag range, locking elevation turret and...
