    AK Sheep, Population Observations

Just as a point of reference, that website is not a sheep hunting website.

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

Internet Peer Pressure! I am working on a longer write up now, and will try to get something up in a week.

To give a cliff notes version. Did an Ibex Combo. Got a 38 inch Gobi and a 42 inch Altai. It was an amazing experience, definitely an adventure, and I would say it compares to my sheep hunts. Probably not as physical but the stalks were amazing, the basins and ridges we were glassing were...

Did he lock in a price or did you send in a deposit to hold your spot?

    The Capra World Slam.

You can get 6 in Spain if you count the Chamois. Also 2 in NZ (they classify the Alpine NZ different than the Alpine in Europe). It would be a very cool goal to see some very unique places.

    Dall sheep status southern yukon

You should be fine. I was there in 23, the population was down compared to when I was there in 17, but saw 4 legal rams and lots of sheep before tagging out on Day 7.

The Bezoar Ibex isn't really 10k, I think that gets you to 90 or 100 cm, and then is between 150 to 300 dollars for each additional cm. I would guess you are looking at an Ibex between 110 and 120cm. Thats a good price for an Ibex slam in Spain!

    Alaska Should Transplant Sheep Again?

Have annual burns, focus on killing predators, put out minerals. Its not perfect but doing those 3 things will make a difference.

    Alberta Bighorn Outfitter Recommendation

Carters has a pretty stellar reputation and to be honest if you told me in 2019 that he went 1 for 6, I would have said you were a liar. I'm honestly wondering if all the smoke messed with them, I know it did with quite a few outfitters.

    Alberta Bighorn Outfitter Recommendation

I didn't realize Carter's had got that high. He used to have a great success rate but I haven't talked to him in 4 year or so, so dated information. Andre at Willow Creek is a pretty solid guy, and I do know 2 people who have gone with him and got their ram. But I think you have hit the...

Taking Equity out of Home OP spoke to me - now, me too!

If my kid said they would rather me leave them money than to make a memory with me. I would make the only line in my will was that all my money is lit on fire. Young people can do it...I bought my first house with 5% down, paid a higher interest rate than what most people have now...just...

The hunts are going up more than 7% a year.

Trapping in yard with free ranging chickens.

This will make a big difference. If you live in the suburbs, this is a pretty discrete way to remove predators.

Aging a Broomed Ram in the Rain

I'm not sure he goes 165, but I think he might be ancient, I think he is 9 to 10 years old. I love those scars on his face. Cool ram!

Taking Equity out of Home to Go on Guided Hunts

I am pretty sure it has to do with success rates. I did a lot of research on this once Wyoming changed their sheep tag numbers for NR. Alberta ranges from 50 to 80% success. There are 2 outfitters in BC that are 100%, but maybe take 1 hunter a year.

    Bitcoin

If it follows previous cycles we will go sideways or down a little till about July/August. There is a lot of excitement around Halving but then nothing really big happens and people with paper hands get nervous. Then the supply starts to tighten more with less BTC being mined. The trickle...
