Tikka T3x superlite -- what to improve and mod?

I have to admit that I find the stock Tikka stock to be very suitable for hunting. Might not be great for bench, PRS or tripod shooting, but when carrying it around the ergonomics are not bad at all. Also, it can take dings and scratches without me stressing out about ruining my stock.

What's your most accurate hunting rifle?

The question was about the most accurate hunting rifle you have. Not how well you can shoot. The only way to know that is to shoot at the same point of aim repeatedly from a stable position. You can do 10 shots in 10 seconds or 10 shots in 20 days. The operative condition is same point of aim...

What's your most accurate hunting rifle?

Stock standard T3x Supervarmint in .308 Win. Quite heavy at 12 pounds, but worth it to me for the piece of mind. Before my last hunt I developed a load using Norma Oryx 180gr bullets. 3 groups of 5 shots over 2 days, each with 0.3gr between groups taken all together were less than 1 MOA. No...

    FNG from South Africa

I only recently started hunting and only have 6 animals to my name; 4 impala and 2 warthog. No dangerous game yet. I don't plan to hunt those. Next will probably be a Kudu and some Springbok. An eland is also somhere in my future. Need more freezer space though. 1500 pounds of animal won't fit...

    Your favorite hunting knife?

Kershaw Deschutes. I did not know any better when I bought it, but the blade stayed sharp through 2 hunts. And the handle is the closest I've ever used to non-slip even when being elbow deep in a hog carcass.

    FNG from South Africa

As per the title, new guy. Live at the southern point of darkest Africa. Realy enjoyed Plama type target shooting with diopter sights. Decided to branch out into hunting. Reloaded for most of my shooting experience.
