@buffybr, not discounting your experience as I know you’ve successfully killed a lot of animals, but I’d encourage you to take some time this winter and read the entire thread.
The correct bullet delivering an optimal wound channel with the desired depth of penetration put in the right spot...

Terminal performance was so inconsistent that I quit using the A-tip.
On paper they’re everything a bullet should be. In practical application afield ‘killing’ animals not so much.
NOT recommended for big game hunting!!!
The A tips are ‘inconsistently inconsistent’ and I quit using them because they’re unreliable delivering wound channels.
