Well in that case they could pay for themselves saving a few arrows and nice ya don’t have to go down to 9/32 field point. I was really considering using the half-outs that came with the RIPS but think I’ll stick to the HIT plan
You talking the podium sleeves/collars that’s are 15gr? Was wondering about a collar option for RIP TKO’s with Easton HITs. $7 a piece is tough but I guess you’d have them a long time. Do you epoxy them on?
I just got some RIP TKO’s 300 spine too, haven’t fletched them up yet. Only pulling #65 so at 8.8gpi I couldn’t find a better option to get my fps up and maintain .204ID
Good luck. Seems like heavy limbs are rare as hens teeth, I’ve been trying to find some for an RX-1. Hoyt wants $500CDN nowadays. Keeps people buying new I guess haha.
I am hoping to get some more speed out of my Hoyt RX-1 65lb with some heavier 70lb or 80lb limbs.
Hoyt quoted me $500 for new limbs (CDN) and I just can’t justify that.
Thanks,
Dan
I agree you can get a better older gun for similar price range, but I like having the versatility of removable choke tubes. Quite a few vintage 12 gauge o/u’s seem to be skeet/skeet…lately I like imp-mod/mod. Or change up for migratory.
Canuck is a company worth checking out. They are Turkish imports but are nice solid guns. No aluminum. Steel receiver/barrel, 5 chokes, fiber optic sight, Turkish walnut stock. And the price is right.
Another Plus 1 for an archery section in the classifieds. I’m new here and kept scrolling looking for it, this thread explains why I didn’t find it haha
Awesome work and commitment to the goal! But don’t sweat the numbers too much. Muscle is heavy so if you’re exercising more I wouldn’t expect weight loss from that. Even consider avoiding the scale while eating healthy and keeping active for a couple weeks.
Hey man I’m down in Regina. Thanks, I might fire you some questions, so many options when it comes to arrows, broadheads, fletching, nocks?! Haha. Don’t even know where to start, but gonna go to No 1 Archery next week to get the bow tuned to fit me and get set up with arrows. I’m planning to...
