    UL fuel efficient cook system

+1 on the BRS. Used it this year on a backpack hunt and was very impressed. I paired it with a snow peak titanium pot. Came in at 13 oz with a small fuel canister, jetboil stand, and lighter.

    Wall tent stove overnight burn

No worries at all. I do love the wood burner. Yes we have some riparian areas with cottonwood, and certainly lodge pole up high, but we don't typically stay in either location. We're right where the spruce meets the aspen usually. That said, there is also a logistics issue. With limited...

    Wall tent stove overnight burn

I'm about done with my Davis tent wood burner...not for the stove but for the fact that all we have easy access to burn here in CO is aspen. We get 4 hours of mediocre heat, mac. If you don't mind, in your experience, what size Nu-way and how much propane for a 16x14 would you recommend for 5...

    Reasonably priced camo/hunting clothes

+1 on black ovis. I swapped out some of my FL pieces for them. Fit is better for me, more consistent cuts than FL and tall sizes. (I'm only 5'10" but I've got ape arms). I've been very pleased with them and their cheaper.

Burn 2 Wyoming Antelope Points or Save Them?

Depends on the hunt/experience you're after. I've found there's a threshold in quality of both at 3 and 4 pnts special and reg respectively.

First Western Hunt, need some help

What hjg_wy said. The area you can draw may not meet all your criteria, but WY pronghorn is the perfect intro to the west. To keep it as such, I'd recommend hunting public land only. You'll learn more.

2024 4th season Colorado elk hunt w/ my old man. Tactics.

4th rifle is a great time to be out. I've taken my dad out (non-res in his 70s) 3 times before 4th fell on Thanksgiving, and he did great. Agree with previous posts, glass big from easy access until you find the elk. Between the short season and potential storms, you won't have many chances to...

When was your first year hunting OTC Elk in Colorado?

As a res, I avoided it until for as many years as possible until I got the draw odds wrong in 3 states - 2021

    Rut Report, CO 3rd Season

Newb here... Just got back to Denver after 6 days in CO15. As others have said- very warm (I hunted in a t-shirt at 9k on Monday afternoon). We saw a ton of young bucks, some acting rutty. Didn't see any mature bucks with does on winter range yet. Older bucks were still in their summer range...
