Hopefully my boys stay with it. I think they have been a little spoiled with some youth tags. Once the see how the “real world” works for tags it’s 50/50…
A friend just purchased a CVA Optima. For the price I think it’s hard to beat. Seemed solid as far as looks and feel. I have also been looking for a new muzz that’s NW legal. So far the Optima seems to be my #1 pick.
Like many other folks, Honda 2000. I have used on for years with great luck. Can run the fridge, pellet stove, TV and Wi-Fi. I also have a Duo Max 9000 dual fuel that runs the house for extended periods. So far, so good. I have only ran gas. I tried propane just messing around and it worked.
I have the Traditions NW Magnum muzzleloader that is about 6 years old. The hammer falls, but the musket cap doesn’t pop. After inspecting I found the firing pin looks damaged. Anyone else here seen this?
There were a lot of mature bucks that hit the ground during the last few days of rifle season this year. The muzz season is really hit or miss from my experience. I seen a few mature bucks, but out of my muzz range. Hopefully ODFW gets their shit together to ensure some brood stock for the future.
FNG from Oregon. Been reading post on here for awhile, figured I would finally join.
Typically hunt Oregon for anything I can get a tag for, and Idaho deer. Mostly an archery hunter, but I enjoy the ol’ smoke pole or long gun as well.
