Looking for an upgrade to the basic vortex bino harness. Debating on Kuiu Pro or Badlands EZ. I can get good deals on these two so these are the options. Any opinions on which is better?
So I'm running bergara b14 hunter and am consistently getting fliers just on the third shot. At 200 yards, the first two have been within 1.5 inches with the third always jumping an inch away. At 100 yards it's more noticeable with the first two touching and the third being around an inch away...
Like others have said it will vary here in CO. Prepare for either warm or very cold. I’ll be going 3rd szn too and will be prepared for snow storms but also warm sun. Not a great answer but that’s how it goes
Looked at the Katana but just went with Sportsman’s store brand. Works well enough in hot conditions and a fraction the cost. Also pretty durable from what I can tell
I’ve ordered stone glacier and MR from that website. They’re all good. If just for a day pack I’ve got a Kuiu divide which I like. Works for anything I don’t need my bigger SG pack for
September is gonna be pretty warm this year I believe. If u haven’t bought the gear already, I’d go with a 3 season tent and around 20 degree bag. Insulated pad but usually snow is lacking in the eastern mountains at this time where I hunt so my r value isnt too high.
Tighten the shoulder straps (under armpits) amap then do hip belt and load straps. Want it as much against my body as possible. Hip belt sits above hip bone. Sags when it’s not properly fit IME.
I’ve got a Kuiu divide 2000 and it works great for day/small game hunts and scouting/hikes here in CO. I’m guessing you could add a saddle?? Also got a stone glacier for backpacking and longer hunts. Both fit great with the SG being more adjustable. SG def for large weight. I’m also 6’2” and skinny.
Hey! So I just grabbed a leftover 3rd szn. I've read all the forums hating on the unit. That said, I attend CU Boulder and therefore can get out just about every day of the season and do TONS of scouting. Is it worth trying to find a leftover cow tag or something for another unit that might...
So something on my B14 Hunter has caught my attention. There used to be a loose screw in this hole but I thought not much of it. It crossed my mind today so I went to go inspect it and found that it is now gone. Is this screw important? It's part of the trigger assembly but I got no clue what it...
For those who have a Bergara B14 in .308 Win, any recommended factory hunting loads that work well in your rifle? Preferably lead free as I'm from Cali and will hunt there but add lead ammo too (I hunt CO as well). I have been using Sig Elite Copper and that's been alright, just looking to widen...
Whats up rokslide, this is my first post so hopefully I'm doing it right. I'm currently a student here in CO and am debating on my approach to the big game draw for 2024 and 2025. Based on my limited time here being a non-resident, I will have two years to both get points and go hunt (I...
