    I’ve come to believe that maybe we’re going at it wrong. Rather than limit what deer are legal, maybe we should have limits on equipment….maybe open sights only for modern rifles, go back to percussion, flintlock, or matchlock for muzzleloaders, and maybe very reduced let-off compounds...

    I like hip waders a lot, but it always seems when I use them for hunting almost anything, I end up getting wet! I’d suggest cheat waders too.

    A couple from a few years ago, both here in Washington…. 2021 early season mulie @ about 25 yards with a .62 T/C Hawken and round ball over 90 gr Goex 2f. 2019 Bighorn ewe @ about 45 yards with a .45 T/C Seneca and maxi-Hunter over 75 gr Goex 2f.

    Awesome hunt, rifle or bow, still a nice close clean kill and some great meat. Did you get your ewe mounted? I had mine mounted to go along with the ram I shot one canyon over and 5 years earlier. I think they make a nice pair!
