12x50 binos help
I have the 12X50 Mavens. I love them, They are at the limit of what I can freehand but it is definitely doable and work great off of a tripod. I was also in your shoes 2 years ago and landed on the Mavens but I think in that price range there's a few companies that seem to be worth looking at... -

*IF* the 147 ELDM is going to grenade on a shoulder, how close/how fast is that behavior normally seen. I've decided to use it in my wife's upcoming elk hunt where shots can be from 15yds to 500. My ideal shot is behind the shoulder but I've had bulls walk up to me quartering to at 15-20 yds... -

Well that's what has pushed me to start shooting and getting the experience myself. And I'm finding the numbers to not be the mystical math equations I thought before starting getting (high-ish) round counts down range.- West2East

I guess I didn't have an issue with what was said in terms of elevation as I have areas where I can hunt right at sea level and end up with a negative DA and up to 8-9,000 ft where the DA could be 10,000. And when you look at these charts, 8,000 - 10,000 ft actual elevation seems to not have a...- West2East
