Looking for a potential hunting partner for a late archery hunt in mid-November. Had some buddies lined up but they’re slowly dropping out. Thinking of doing a guide-only route potentially (through AEO) and 2:1 drops the price. Otherwise I have been looking at scouting packages or just sucking...
Just wondering if I’m unlucky or if there’s a trend in the NW on low bird numbers this year. Been very inconsistent for me this year and downright bad in my usual go-to spots. I know winter weather plays a big role, but overall just seems like a down year. Anyone else seeing the same things? Or...
Right but with your multi season tag you can hunt during the muzzle loader season if you use a muzzle loader or a bow (just expanding your opportunities) elk is gonna be tougher cuz you have to choose west or east side of the state and OTC opportunities are pretty rough. Probably wouldn’t spend...
Answer to your question depends on what you’re wanting to chase! We have muleys, White tails in the east and black tails on the west side of the state.
Archery / or hunting muzzle loader season with your bow would give you the widest range of hunting opportunities statewide for sure
I use the Garmin - the big one. Got a good deal on it. I have really enjoyed having it and have never had issues. There are some flexible subscription plans to use as well.
I’m looking at doing an otc archery mule deer hunt in AZ next August - been looking at outfitters - Wards, Shadow Valley, and Arizona Mountain outfitters as of right now - wondering if anyone has recent experience with these guys and could weigh in on how your trip was! Thanks!
I’ve never had any issues with Venmo transactions - that being said I don’t keep the funds in my account after - I just transfer them promptly to my personal banking account.
Welcome from another Eastern Washington-er that's finally hopping on here as well. Wish I could move to maui.... but will stick with just visiting I guess.
I have hunted both eastern OR and WA - there are definitely elk available if you are willing to work for it. All it takes is time.... haha! I will say any unit in WA that is designated "any elk" for archery, rifle, or muzzleloader on the east side is that way because the elk population is almost...
I hunted 66 last year as well - saw lots of bulls but lots of people. the TH I was at produced 5 pretty nice bulls and 2 smaller basket bucks. Not sure I would go back as it was a pretty far drive from Central WA - if anyone has that tag (66 B) I'd be willing to share some spots - shoot me a pm!
