    Field Judging Antelope

    I believe it’s 4 mass measurements on each side. One at the base and then 1 at each 1/4 of horn length for the next 3. Example: if the longer horn is 12”, you would take measurements at the base and at 3”, 6”, & 9” (the location of the prong can make a difference)

    Definitely mass. Also, ideally, the prong will be high enough to get 3 of the 4 mass measurements below it instead of 2 below and 2 above.

    6.5 Creed is plenty! I’ve been fortunate enough to chase the speed goats with my dad around Cheyenne since he moved there in ‘93. We’ve taken several with the 6.5 caliber, the longest shot being just over 400 yards. The last one I took was with a .243 at 212 yards. Good luck!

    Who is moose hunting 2023?

    Headed back to eastern Alaska with a good buddy (AK resident). First time last September and learned a ton. Definitely excited to give it another go!
