Actually really well. I’ve used that 195 ELD-M on a lot of mule deer and 2 elk. Pushing them right at 3000 fps. The first shot punched a hole in flat thin part of shoulder and inside damage was bad. Found the rest of the bullet on opposite hide. The follow up shot when he tried to get up on...
I know a few of you guys were asking on this thread. I finally got around to putting a tape on this bull. I had him at 396 6/8” green gross score. I’ll definitely have him officially measured after drying period. Thinking he should be top 5 or 6 typical firearm bull in Nebraska.

2024 Nebraska archery buck. Super excited to get this one lab aged. Have history with him for 3 years. He was missing a few top teeth and his bottom teeth were worn out. Pretty cool old heavy buck.

They bother a lot of guys, they are so destructive in the corn fields. Most landowners are willing to let guys hunt elk though. There are a few herds that are very well managed for big bulls. After being on this property I’m glad a half hour away where I farm we don’t have elk. Pretty...
Back in June I found out I drew my once in a lifetime Nebraska bull tag. I started getting permission with landowners, scouting, and hanging cameras because I knew I wanted to harvest a good bull and do the tag justice. I found a lot of very respectable 330-350 Bulls late summer but not one that...
My wife went out solo and sat on an ambush point by a hayfield. This buck came out and she took at 34 yard quartering away shot. Arrow went in last few ribs, through the heart and out the chest. The deer ran about 80 yards and piled up. Her biggest buck to date! Western Nebraska.
