I compete in PRS with Impact actions (Rem 700 clones). I have a 223 trainer based on a Tikka action that I use for practice - cheaper to load ammo (plus I load 223 on a progressive so much faster) and saves wear/tear on the competition rifle.
Another option is to get a 22 bolt gun like a PRS22...
ADG seems to be hunting oriented so I buy ADG for hunting cartridges not covered by Lapua/Alpha
Peterson seems to be good but I prefer Alpha or Lapua - I buy Peterson if price is right/others unavailable
Alpha is my preferred brass for high volume. My Alpha Dasher brass has 10x loads and still...
Great advice. I dealt with the aftermath of my wife's parents passing then my parents passing. On my dad, an attorney who was a deacon with my dad insured that his affairs were in order for me (only child and executor). Some preplanning makes this process so much better for your loved ones...
I started to comment that Beretta is not known for customer friendly service.
Seems like best method is still finding donor actions and self-customizing. Maybe a better path is to encourage small businesses to continue to innovate with Tikka prefit barrels to taste plus accessories such as...
Slight thread drift but I lucked into some takeoff Tikka CTR 260 Remington barrels - one OEM at 20 inch and one OEM but cut and threaded to 16 inch. If you run across a deal on a Tikka 260...................
I got wife a 2019 Subaru Outback Touring 3.6R - we now have about 65000 miles on it. I drive a Ram 1500. The Subaru has been great for us - this was the last of the six cylinders. Plenty of power, lots of room, reliable. Gas mileage ok with the 6 but nothing to brag on. Use if for daily driver...
I am 64+, I plan on drawing at 65 (full payout is 67, yes even more at 70). It is all about guessing when you will die. I see tipping point as 84 - I would do better to wait if I live to 84.
I probably will live to 84 as my parents were both mid nineties when they passed.
My thoughts.

I built a plant in middle GA that makes soft drink cartons. German printing presses. German engineers, techs, etc. took off 6+ weeks at a time on "holiday" regularly.
Great thread until you bashed the Imaginary Engineers. I am a Georgia Tech Industrial Engineer. I did very well supervising all the smarter "real" engineers over my 30+ year career and - yes - managing engineers is more lucrative than "just" being and individual contributor. Sales Engineers...
I use the Bushnell Forge 15x56 for PRS and they have been great - other competitors look through them regularly at competitions and comment favorably. I much prefer them to a spotting scope.
