    I second the, “if you’re driving bring options” used my normal hunting boots kenetrek with gaiters, to mucks, to wiggys waders for water crossing. It all depended on the specific location. Oh I can’t forget the crocs!

    Like most of the other folks said, downloaded larger maps for the area I wasn’t planning on hunting and then got more in depth closer to the hunt areas. Worked great!! Also you will have cell service in Deadhorse. Was able to FaceTime my little guy on top of the world. Enjoy your trip!!!

    Thanks, as I’m learning this Rokslide deal. Hence the FNG…. I’ll get better, learning quickly on what not to do. I’ll plan on just hunting unit 989 for in the far east drainage. Happy Easter.

    Early September vs Late September Archery

    If you can spend some time pre season scouting and you can have a plan opening day that’s always a good option. But it’s also great towards the end as you have the chance to find more vocal elk. Of course it all comes down to pressure. Good luck!
