Our camp is going to be 7.5 miles in im not walking back to get a backup rifle unless the barrel is bent and the glass is blow out of the scope… sounds like i need to cough up some money and get an ATACR
I think a good question is which scopes are reliable in each others eyes?? Some say nightforce, some say vortex, some say leupold… what is the gold standard for the rifle fell 10ft i dont have to shoot it to confirm zero before i take a game animal!?
Well noone plans to fall but it happens when you least expect it and i would so rather be prepared equipment wise for it than not. Thats just my opinion.
I was looking at the vortex razor hd lht but the drop test is not good on them… and besides that when the scope is light its concerns me a bit because if you fall or your rifle takes a digger while hiking your screwed..
The Meopta Optika 6 he did, did great but ran into a failure at round 3,500 ish but he never sent it into meopta to see what happened with it. I mean he even had the rifle fall 12 ft down a snow bankin and land on some rocks i was impressed with that but at round 3,500 it wouldnt hold zero and...
