    WTS Tikka t3 300WSM threaded

It shoots a true MOA 5 shot group all day. It has shot several shot strings at .5 or better. The biggest accuracy increase came from switching to the T3x stock and the precision machined steel recoil lug I put in. I shoots 180grn TTSX with a healthy charge of H4350 @2915fps. Ill see If I have a...

    WTS Tikka t3 300WSM threaded

I have a Tikka T3 300WSM in excellent condition. I am the original owner and it has approximately 50 rounds through it. Has never been hunted with as originally intended. With the following upgrades. -Barrel Threaded 1/2x28 by Silencer Central concentric to the bore (I use a DT TBAC Ultra 7)...

    WTS SWFA 6x MOA

I have a like new SWFA 6x MOA SS scope. It has just been collecting dust in the safe mounted on a 22 I rarely used. It has teflon 0 stop bushings installed in the turrets, a burris level, and some decent pic rings. I am making space preparing for a move. There are no scratches or damage to the...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

I believe the three fragments depicted are representative in this case. The pieces depicted were all resting together under the offside hide. The pieces will actually “fit” back together loosely and traveled “together” to their final resting place. Now if I collected pieces that dispursed...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Im guessing 2.5 based on tooth wear but generally tooth wear is very inconsistent. I removed two teeth this evening. One to send fish and wildlife who will age it and I will cut the other to determine age myself.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Jefferson outdoors hinged bottom metal. As advertised 5+1 capacity. I am able to just fit 6 after I shimmed and bedded the bottom metal in my Stockys stock. It feeds 100% for me, but you must make sure your fitment is set and the bolt face engages enough of the case head as part of the bedding...

    Howa Superlite

Reviving this old thread for updates from this season. Still seems like an awesome lightweight option. Anyone have problems with the bottom plastic or magazine? I had issues on my minis with the plastic cracking in sub zero temps and solved that with the JO bottom metal. I am wondering if any...

Any reason not to cut .223 back to 16.5”?

I should have added context that I took my plugs out for one shot to compare. As I was concerned as others mentioned it would become very loud and blasty. When hunting, there are some scenarios I dont remember/have time to put plugs in. I do have a few cans, and I think they are great for...

Any reason not to cut .223 back to 16.5”?

Well I received my rifle back cut to 16”, and I am very satisfied after an afternoon visit to the range. I only shot out to 100yds due to limited time, but the rifle remains a 3/4” rifle in my hands, likely better for someone else. After cutting the barrel back, my rifle weighs in at 5lb 3oz...

Any reason not to cut .223 back to 16.5”?

Thanks for the input. Why not! I’ll send it out today and will go ahead and have it threaded for my can. It will be interesting to see how much velocity I actually loose. The weight savings and balance alone will make it worth it.

Any reason not to cut .223 back to 16.5”?

I like the 16.5” idea, the odds of me using this beyond 400 for hunting are slim. It looks like there is some evidence of the TMK performing <1800 fps in some instances. At 400yds I would find that out based on my calcs.

Any reason not to cut .223 back to 16.5”?

I have a Howa mini action .223REM in a Stockys carbon stock. It shoots 62 TTSX chrono’d at 2920fps with its 22” sporter barrel. With the lightweight stock it actually feels a little front heavy and I am looking for a reason not to cut back to 16.5”. I am TMK “curious” and wondering if the...

    WTS/WTT CZ 527 .223 Varmint Laminate

It is 1:12, I ran a tight patch through and it measures 1:11.75. It does shoot 55VMAX well, but it loves the 35 and 40s.
