I love my Kutanas and wear them year round. Will use a baselayer if below freezing. I do run warm though and legs rarely cold unless completely static. Do note there is a fit difference between the two, with Kutanas slightly slimmer than Attacks. See my post here for differences in size 34.
@Formidilosus , I'm this close to fishnets. I run hot myself, and typically would just run a light merino hooded baselayer (e.g. Kuiu 145) until the 40s. So I anticipate tshirt use over long sleeve wool net a frequent pattern. How durable are they though? I hunt in TX with all types of...
I've been wanting a can for my 6.5cm, but all this Rokslide reading and I'm debating a smaller caliber build instead. Only curve ball, I'm a lefty. So really have no idea how to get myself to a 223 unless there's a clear rechamber path. 22creed the other idea I've been toying given Tikka sells...
I like the Garmin Forerunner line. Very thin and light, so easy to wear with all clothing and disappears when asleep. Has ton of multi-sport features as well, close to Fenix.
I got one of these straps to go with it and it's pretty fantastic. Never adjust, very secure, super comfy.
Indeed! I didn't hold back on my West TX trip and they held up great. If you've been in the area, everything is sharp, spiked, and jagged. Feel like I really tested the overall boot and the bootguard. Just washed them up before a Montana Pitch Blend application to prep for non-hunting Colorado...
Just to add more positive experiences to the thread, just rented a SO Cimarron and Garmin Xero C1 from @Rent Outdoor Gear and will definitely use again. Fast shipping, on time, everything labeled well and in great condition. Larry even spent a good bit of time on phone with me to ensure I was...
Didn't chronograph prior, but cut my stainless 6.5 to 18" and averaged 2478 over 8 shots with ELD-M 147gr. Barrel had ~60 through it prior to this string.
Alrighty, final update until I wear these hunting next weekend (desert) then snow shoeing end of the month in CO. First coat seemed to cure well on all surfaces I covered, but you can see in the pic that the grit and overall thickness was uneven on the leather, hence recommendation for two...
Giving the KG bootguard a go today. First started with sanding leather, then cement glued over the outsole-to-leather boundary. Went down as far as the stitch line hoping it'll act as an adhesive primer for the bootguard liquid. Will post again after first coat of bootguard and then a second.
@freediver111 I have the Molinator and 2-5, both have similar feel. If you get used to the Molinator's fill you'll like the ultralight LS Wild options as well.
