I have the SG 15 and I love it. Packs down great and way lighter than anything I’ve used in the past from off the shelf to military sleep systems (iykyk).
That being said I’ve used it when it was maybe 55+ out and it was too hot lol.
That’s another tip I’ve heard is inventorying the does and checking them daily. Sounds like it will be in the rut.
Terrain is those rolling hills, open desert and scrub brush. Some more “terrain” in parts of the unit but the majority is that classic NM high desert.
Won’t post specific unit stuff. Looking for tips and tricks for late season (January) Archery.
I understand glassing is going to be key, will hopefully have others to assist with covering ground and glassing more areas.
I think my biggest concern for late season is going to be the actual...

Brother…. You ain’t kidding. Family is in the cattle business so it makes sense. You would be surprised as the wildlife out there. Have actually...
Absolutely fantastic advice. I think we were looking into 78/81 given both our familiarity with those units for other reasons as well as the draw/OTC possibilities for us out of state hunters.
We actually may have the ability to bring horses but I personally am not counting on it. It sounds...
Congratulations, very jealous I didn’t get in on the action this year.
Now that your done what was your approach to the hunt? Did you spike camp or did you hike in and stay? How much glassing did you do? Do you need to move as much as everyone says?
