    Sold Nightforce SHV 3-10x42

That is correct. The zero-stop was a piece of 3/4" conduit that slipped over the turret and did not permanently change any part of the scope.

    Sold Nightforce SHV 3-10x42

Bump... I got a fast offer on this but then the guy got cold feet... rather annoying. He noticed that this scope is the one I used for this DIY modification: https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/diy-zero-stop-for-nightforce-shv-3-10x42-and-4-14x56.285461/ The individual stated that he was...

Gunwerks 6ix+, AB Raptor Eight Stack, CGS Hyperion K, Thunder Beast Dominus

Did Cameron.25 ever figure out how to post things on YouTube? I'd like to see the range session he referenced.

    Silencerco Scythe TI review

I've seen similar comments before but I don't get them. What's wrong with the Alaskan? I own a Rugged Micro 30 and I'm not a big fan of theirs but what specifically is wrong with that model?

DIY Zero Stop for Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 and 4-14X56

That's a head scratcher. That looks like nothing I can find on a Nightforce zero stop. You might want to call NF on this.

Atlas BT46-LW17 PSR or Spartan Bipod?

I can't compare to anything else, but I can tell you why I chose the Javelin. My priority was not the most stable bipod or the best for long range shooting. I wanted it to be adequate for long range but it didn't need to be the best. I put my priority into weight and handiness. Most of my...

What do you get if you cross a scout rifle with a long range rifle?

Same general idea but that Gladius is a heavy beast. 10 pounds before scope, rings and bipod isn't exactly handy.

What do you get if you cross a scout rifle with a long range rifle?

Hmmm... good thing I never made such a claim.

What do you get if you cross a scout rifle with a long range rifle?

LOL... yes. Perhaps I should have written that a bit better. I describe the origin of this in the video. The abbreviated version is, that's the name used by the guys at BangSteel to describe a light, handy rifle that is capable of both close-in hunting but also long range targets. They named it...

What do you get if you cross a scout rifle with a long range rifle?

The Machaira. That's what you get. I'm well aware that this is nothing revolutionary, but I thought I'd post this here in case others are looking in the same direction. I've been a scout rifle aficionado for 30+ years. I've hunted with them, trained with them and have a lot of time in the...

DIY Zero Stop for Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 and 4-14X56

So I just changed out my rings to the Zee Signature rings and put in a 20 MOA offset. I removed the ring and re-zeroed the rifle. After that, I had to remove more metal from the ring but now it is back and ready to go. I used this opportunity to smooth up the edges and it now fits more snug...

DIY Zero Stop for Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 and 4-14X56

So I got to try this out in my first ever long range match. Keep in mind, I'm not a match shooter and not even a long range shooter. I just shot the match in anticipation of taking a class. Not kidding. Anyway... the zero stop was awesome. On the clock, there were two times when I...

Taking a Scout to a long range match

So I guess I'll post this up here in case others are thinking about getting into long range shooting from the scout or general purpose community. My goal with this project was NOT to get the best set-up for long range shooting. My goal was to find the performance limits of my Steyr Scout...

    Ultralight barrel and suppressor ?

I haven't tried it but I doubt it. I hate those sights anyway. It was clearly an afterthought.

DIY Zero Stop for Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 and 4-14X56

3-10... not 2-10. The SHV is a 3-10X42 and has the same turret arrangement as the 4-14X56.

DIY Zero Stop for Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 and 4-14X56

It keeps spinning when it contacts the printed ring? It shouldn't. My guess is that your printed ring is still too tall. Back it off and then see if the slotted screw on the top will tighten more. I went through that while fitting it. I do need to paint this and then add a drop of hot...

    Ultralight barrel and suppressor ?

I've got a Steyr Scout that I had cut to 16" and threaded. The barrel is so thin that 1/2-28" was the only option. POI shift is pretty dramatic. Like 4" at 100 yards but accuracy is excellent with the Silencerco Harvester 300. Not so much with the rugged Micro 30 but I think there is...

DIY Zero Stop for Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 and 4-14X56

Non-metallic would be fine, as long as the inside and outside diameter is the same. I was just lucky that the conduit happened to be the perfect size for this project.
