I’m hoping the AB A-10 7.62 is decent. I just ordered one this weekend as my first suppressor.
Low cost and various decent Ytube reviews plus being in stock right now pushed me there.
It’s primary and first use besides range toy is for an AR15 6.5 Grendel build for night hog hunting. Will also...
I’m able to load those bullets long in my 243 w 23 inch barrel and easily getting just at 3100 with 108 eldm and 105 bergers. Have pushed them faster than that but settled back to 3050 to 3090. I don’t think you’ll have a problem.

The way I think about this and part of what drove me to the 6mm is just that fact that there are SO MANY bullets that seem to work so well. Add the list up and it’s extensive. In my mind that’s just what takes it out of the marginal category. It’s not dependent on one magic bullet to work...
Oh it’s awesome. I’m loving it and super happy with how it turned out.
There is no problem with feeding. I set it up with both the standard stock with blind magazine and also the Magpul magazine/magwell and a Stocky’s stock.

Nice! I shot my first deer with my dad’s 1976 Marlin 444 Sporter. Still have it. Carried it a couple days hunting this year but no luck.

My grandfathers REM 721 built in 1952, though I’ve spun on a different barrel so I can keep using rather than leaving it with a bad barrel in the closet.
This pics from last season.

Ok, so not the 8 inches penetration before upset at that closer range? And forgive me for posting here in 6um thread but I AM talking at 6mm creedmoor velocities.

Is there anything else that can be done to the DTAC's to shorten that neck length specifically for deer? Filing or cutting the tip? I ask because my initial testing has them shooting better than the Hornady and Berger bullets I've tested, I'd love to have 1 bullet and load for everything...

Maybe I've missed it, but is there a Muzzleloader Hunting Success thread? If not, here we go. Post'em up! I know this will not be along the lines of what most are using in the current muzzeloader/primitive weapons seasons, but using my Lyman Great Plains 54 cal, that I built from kit near...
I'm all set.
Would like to buy a small sample size of the 6mm Dtac NR to test with. I hate to spend $200+ for 500 just to experiment. Looking for just a small sample, 25-50 bullets.
How does one go about getting the deep cut Dtac’s? I can’t see any ordering option. Is that something that’s done by you guys after you get them?

Almost all eastern whitetail, but I’ve hunted western mule deer and Canada black bear. Now that I’m retired, I’ll do some of those western hunts again to include elk but it will be with the guns I have. In the past my primary was 7mm mag, with 338 win mag, 30/06, 270 in the mix. Now it’s 223 and...
I’ve got many guns handed down or sentimental in some way, stuff like 30/30 lever, 444 marlin, but I’ve sold off most of my other hunting rifles (larger bolt guns) and was down to 1.
I’ve added an AR to that so I’m at AR for 223/77TMK and a bolt action in 243/108ELDM, as pretty much my only 2...
Last year was the first time I’ve hunted with my AR. I loved it. This week so far I’ve spent 2 days hunting with my bolt gun( 1 deer and 1 hog taken) and 2 days carrying my AR.
2-3 miles walking a day with combination of ground blind, box stand and still hunting.
I really like having a choice...
