Nothing wrong with a mount.
But euros are cheaper, can fit more of them, and I think fits better into almost any home.
There is a timeless natural beauty in bone - not to say the animal doesnt have that. But IMO plain bone is a better look, for a better price.
Going to be pretty hard to break a shank.
Ribs you can pop through.
At the end of the day we put a lot of effort into this and I'm just hoping theres an easier way. I went through 12 or more shanks last year and I'm pretty over the freeze/hacksaw method.
I am looking for recommendations on what people use in the field to cut bone...and also what people use at home.
I love deer shanks cut into disks...but it is a royal pain to do with a hand saw and takes me like 30 minutes to do one quarter.
Maybe my tool just sucks - enlighten me.

It IS Wisconsin. But theres no way you are getting a sled to where the bait is.
So dense if you were 75' feet from the bait you wouldnt be able to see any part of it. The "trail" I use to get to this area is about a mile and is more down trees than path. Dragging it out of here isnt happening...
Any opinions on a kifaru bikini frame?
I have been offered one in my right size - but have been concerned over some of the talk of it not being a load hauler.
Otherwise I will start investigating these other options.
Thank you to everyone for the advice
This was my hope.
Unfortunately after working on kifaru insiders for a couple weeks and coming here, we are cutting it very close and Im apparently not allowed to post in the classifieds. I really dont want to buy something I dont need - Im on a budget but still in the "buy once, cry once"...

Individual bear temperament.
What time of year it is.
These have all already been mentioned, one way or another, but the point being that just because a black bear...
Where in LA? I lived in a pretty wide open part of LA (Lincoln Heights) and saw plenty of wildlife, but no bears. Crazy how adaptive these animals can be given a chance and proper management...they will thrive!
Actually have one friend living in LA asking about coming out here for bear...
Hunting over bait in Wisconsin this year...some food sources have been good here though and the bears that were coming to bait started getting weird about three weeks ago.
Not sure if that is corn coming in, or other berries or fruit. I know that I have been using our groundfall apples at my...
Advanced Warning. I realize that I am an idiot and should have done all of this sooner.
Here goes. I am now realizing that (if successful) there is no way I am going to drag or cart out my WI public land bear, whos season starts on the 7th.
I have a kifaru pack - but due to budget I had been...
