Little background. I hunt in northern CA and I’d say 90% of my hunting has been done still hunting/road hunting (ill take the hate for road hunting 🤣) but after the last couple of bucks I have taken from road hunting, I couldn’t help but feel a little weird/bad about it being too easy. My kid is...
In the process of beginning to build points for my soon to be 12 yr old son. With that being said, id like to find a good state for him to have an enjoyable time. With no points as of right now, anyone know of a good hunt that doesnt require any points?
Doing some e-scouting for coastal bucks at the moment but just in general has anyone noticed in their encounters that deer tend to favor a certain slope here in northern CA?
I have to hunt 75, only bucks in 75 but he can hunt any general unit in Idaho with his tag. Was thinking if worst came worst, we could go west to a unit where he could shoot a doe
I am going to Idaho in mid October with my son for his first hunt. We are going to be hunting southeast Idaho in a unit that was hit pretty hard with winter kill so that doesn’t leave me to optimistic but we are going to give it hell. Was hoping to have a backup plan and maybe take him to a unit...
First time for me. Hunted south west Idaho last year in 39 and it was hard hunting with no bucks seen. as long as it’s better then last year, I’ll be excited 👍
Definitely want to hunt. I’m worried about the overall health of the deer herds in southeast Idaho after the impact of this brutal winter. If it were just me, I wouldn’t care but this is also my sons first big game hunt and I was hoping to give him ample opportunity to at least see deer and...
Humboldt, primarily rifle but have recently got back into archery and definitely want to get more into backcountry stuff. Actually just bought a couple of baby pack goats a few days ago to help out in the future
Northern California. Looking for a potential hunting partner, used to hunt with my brother in law but he moved back to San Diego Don’t mind hunting alone but would like to have somebody to hunt with and takes it as serious as I do. Hunt b zones for the most part, going to Idaho fall 2023 and...
Have an OTC mule deer tag for southeast Idaho for 2023. A bit concerned about the fact that the snow seems to be beating the deer and elk herds up pretty good. Question is, do I bail on the tag and hope to get drawn in another state? Or do I keep it and hope for the best?
