    Going to give this one a shot this year too. When you say terrain, do you just mean steep or thick or both? From what I can tell from e-scouting, vegetation looks like it could be pretty thick in the sespe wilderness area.

    FNG from California

    SoCal here as well. 2nd season hunting in the Sierra's. Guess we will find out tomorrow if we drew. Excited to get back in that country. Planning on doing a 5 day backpack hunt this year, as compared to basecamp hunt last year. All a good learning experience.

    Mine looked very similar. Bummer because when it did shoot, I was getting great groups with it. Hopefully, others will perform similarly.

    Thanks! I did the same. Took apart bolt assembly, and cleaned everything up. I was happy that all other ammo was shot without issue after the misfires. It made me realize it wasn't the gun.

    Good to know, thanks! I have a box of the 150 TTSX, only took 3 shots out of it, and one misfired. I'll contact Barnes. Ended up grabbing some federal trophy copper 165gr, Hornady Superformance CX 165gr, Nosler Expansion Tip 168gr. Need to get out and see how the gun likes em, but feel good...
