The old accurange reticle actually works pretty well. They where about 50 yards shy of 400 and the two bars bracketed the doe from back to belly and showed 350.

Very familiar with the 1903A4. I shoot one at Camp Perry in the Vintage Sniper competition. I can't fathom seeing one in a pawn shop, let alone snagging it for a song. I became enamored with Carlos Hathcock and Chuck Mawhinney and their exploits in combat. I had to have an M40. Every thing...

Another 308 vs 7mm Rem Mag Thread

Most guys aren't capable in true hunting conditions of making hits past 400 yards. With wind and positional shooting being factors that most don't train for at the range off a bench. How many times have you seen a guy at the range shooting a hunting rifle from the prone or off a pack. I can...

best caliber for coyotes?

Never met a coyote that could stand a vmax from a .223 or .243. Either can be had fairly cheap as well.

$80 850 fill down puffy!

Running a puffer like this under a waterproof shell let me shoot in -13 degree weather this winter. The fingers where the real problem 🤔

15x56 in replace of spotting scope??

Celestron is another great option. I ran a pair of 20x's for years. They held up well. They sadly died in a fire. Alot of the new Vortex offerings have terrific glass for the price point as well.

Inexpensive stick burning smokers

I built one out of AR500 plate years ago. The company that I worked for built blast furnaces so the steel was plentiful. If you kick around a weld shop or two guys will build you dam near anything for a couple cases of beer and $100.
