Following, particularly since spending a good part of two years in your beautiful BC area.
A Canadian friend here in Idaho moved to the states many years ago. He’s a physician so he probably had some priority in moving to the US. He and his wife are coming over to our place this week for a...
Well that stinks. Maybe pertains to the caliber and production runs. I ordered mine in June and had it in about a week. Might also have to do with what FFL dealer and their ability to obtain weapons from the manufacturer. I've had that issue before. Happy to PM you the FFL dealer used.
Went to the range today to try a couple of other bullets with the 6.5 PRC Seekins Element Hunter.
Some of the velocities tracked today.

Hammer 134g Power Hammer, ave 2,984 custom load
Nosler 120g ET, ave...
Not in the weeds on the change. Here is a cut and paste from some fish wrap I found. Sounds like a reasonable federal judge had some common since and struck down bad laws.

A federal judge in San Diego has struck down two California laws that effectively banned most non-California...
FYI, as of April 2025, they started taking applications and issuing permits. I spoke with one guy at length about it that received his.

I’ve got a very small Kuiu Divide 1200 that I use as a day pack for scouting, hiking into upper mountain streams/lakes to trout fish, and for much of my upland game bird hunting. It’s a great pack for my uses.
This last month, I purchased a Seekins rifle that has a folding stock. I folded my...
It’s a bit early on this rifle release but couldn’t find a single independent review anywhere. Good luck if it helps. Seekins Element Hunter in 6.5 PRC 20” barrel.
Brief
Feeds, cycles, and shoots well. Way too early on accuracy. The recoil pad has a couple of stiff spots along with the squishy...
I’ve seen no difference on chukar and pheasant between my 12s and 20. I’ve got a great Benelli SBE but it doesn’t go on upland outings (too heavy and the barrel is too long for quick swings). I always take a light o/u 12 or 20. If the 12 goes, I generally use 1oz or 1&1/8oz and lower...
You will get lots of great info from this forum for sure. I’ve used a lot of resources over the years and backfiretv is one of them. Looks like the rifles you are looking at. Keep us posted on what you end up with and how it performs. Data is good. :)

Thanks for the comments. Yes, there are a few height adjustments for the cheek piece. The arca mount is solid. Sits firmly in my arca head on the tripod. The folding mechanism is beastly. Very pleased with it. Not flimsy at all. The rifle is quite deceiving due to its smaller size and minimal...
Purchased the Seekins Element Hunter in 6.5 PRC 20” a few days ago.
Some observations as I was unable to view one in person before purchase and could not find a single independent review.
Weighed in at 5lb 13oz w/magazine, the brake/cap, but no ammo. I have another rifle in 280ai at the exact...
“Twinkie” aka elk guide Tate just posted a great video on the Ruger American Gen2 vs Tikka that I watched on Ron Spomer’s channel a couple of days ago.
Both great, but no way I would purchase a rifle in 2025 that isn’t threaded. Ruger gets the nod. Had a Gen 1 years ago and someday will get a...
