I bought a new F-250 gasser last year as a tow vehicle for my center console fishing boat. It was to replace my ageing 2013 Tundra that really struggled when pulling the boat at highway speeds and for any long trips. The towing experience of the 3/4 ton is night and day different than the Tundra...
DDM,
I had the exact same scenario as you. I was towing a heavy saltwater fishing boat with a Tundra 4.6 and it just wasn't the right truck for that particular job. I had to keep it in 4th gear at 55mph or it would constantly downshift and the fuel mileage was terrible. I purchased a '23 F-250...
I use a diamond plate aluminum box from UWS. It's 35' L x 19'W x12'D. It holds all the items mentioned above and some more. It's removeable and easy to secure. I use a cable and padlock.
My '13 Tundra has 199,00K and the only thing replaced has been the alternator and air injection pumps. I have the 4.6 and it gets 16.5 average mixed city/highway. They are the most reliable truck platform on average.

Some of the clear cuts and large agricultural fields may provide that opportunity but the majority of the time we sit in trees. Everything is so thick around here.
2013 Toyota Tundra with the 4.6. I've rode it hard and put it away wet. The only parts I've replaced are the alternator and air injection pumps. 196K on the clock.
Forestryguy,
I've never seen a deer eat cotton, but some say they eat the flower that forms the cotton ball. The farmers sew winter wheat after they harvest the cotton, and the deer will eat that. All I know is that whenever the farmers plant cotton in our fields, the deer move to fields...
Get high in a tree overlooking very thick or swampy areas. Use the dog hunters and the pressure they provide to move deer to you. Or you can drive the area on a Saturday and make note of where the hunters are taking stands along the road. This will give you an idea of where the deer run when the...
