I run a business as well, I have learned of you tell someone it’s going to take a couple weeks longer than you know it will, you buy yourself time if things go wrong and the customer is happier when it gets done early
I requested an update they said they took off the handle, so hopefully it’ll be done soon. I guess there’s some issue going and they have no idea when it will be completed. I may just take it back and send it off somewhere else
I’ve had a barrel chambered, threaded, muzzle threaded, custom muzzle brake built and blended. Cerekoted in less time than it seems to take them to even take off my old bolt handle with an acetylene torch. Oh wait…. They haven’t even taken the handle off, it’s just been sitting in the box for...
It's just frustrating, especially when you have other smiths pumping stuff out for you.
But, ill take your advice and ask for them to send it back in May if I hear no update
Alright guys I am going to need your input. I had sent in my action for some work to a very well known shop in the west. I don’t want to start a problem so I am not going to plug their name(they seem like good people). However, prior to sending in my action I was quoted a 6 week turn around time...
I like the idea of the r8...especially the kilombero. Interchangeable barrels/calibers w/ return to zero mount, straight-pull bolt, etc. but very pricey.
