    Sealing Carbon Fiber Stock

You are probably asking about a paint or coating as I think of sealant as a penetrating treatment and I don’t think the carbon fiber epoxy will be porous. My thoughts are only reason to apply a coating is if you exposed glass fibers and that bothers you. Not likely an issue in the channel...

    Good Guns gone bad

My buddy had similar issues. He is more of a just shoot it without cleaning. I advised him to try cleaning the barrel as clean as possible. It seemed to work for him as accuracy was restored after a handful of fouling shots.

If the glass fibers end up being exposed then you might finish it up with a clear coat of an appropriate finish.

Where to start with 280 AI

Worked on elk loads for my son's lefty 9 twist Weatherby, tried Partition, AB, ABLR, HH, HHT; and, LRX. 160AB was pretty good with H4831SC around 2950fps. ABLR not so good groupings. 145 LRX ok. I settled on 143HH and H4831SC at 3233fps giving just under 1MOA at 200 yards. The 132HHT was...

Barrel break in and load development

Two types: There is the new barrel break-in sometimes recommended by a barrel manufacturer and then there is the second barrel break-in where the velocity may increase after 100-150 rounds. The new barrel break-in might consist of shot/clean regime for first 10-20 rounds depending on...

Rifle Ejects into Windage Turret- Best 1” Scope or ??

If that rifle has a Sako type extractor you can probably change the ejection angle by filing a corner of the extractor. The filing work might depend on where the ejector is clocked. You could buy a couple of spare extractors to experiment with as they are not usually expensive items.

WTB Kuiu Guide Pro Pant 34

Dang- it looks like they are available online except for CA and NY. Presumably because of bans on “forever” chemicals in the construction of these pants. I hope the industry finds good alternatives soon. Good luck.

Mountain goat now, or sheep later.. maybe never

I'd say go on a goat hunt now. I was your age 29 years ago and I'm waiting to see if I get drawn for my AK goat tag this year. I don't have sheep fever as some do, so the goat hunt was for me a good way to have a similar experience. If I am lucky I'll be looking at getting a backpack mount...
