What sacrifices?
Cops love to pretend that they have some uniquely-dangerous job to justify their ridiculous budgets and hardware — while it’s not even close to being the riskiest profession — yet when a situation comes up that might remotely warrant such resources, they consistently chicken...
Another strong contender in the price category would be the Delta 4-24x50, which punches far above its weight in my opinion.
Great mag range, not too bulky and heavy for hunting, tons of windage/elevation adjustment, swappable turrets for either low-profile or dialling setups...
Pretty amazing how eager some people are to make excuses for the cops’ selfishness and cowardice, saying things like “there’s no way anyone else would confront an active shooter, either”.
Well, that’s demonstrably false: a normal human reaction is to try to save children from being killed...
One problem with that is that the same people who blame everything on single-parent households also tend to support a reactionary judicial system that metes out lengthy prison sentences to would-be fathers for minor non-crimes like weed possession.
Except that there were kids inside the school calling the police station to beg for help the entire time, and reports are emerging that it was the cops who locked the shooter in the room with the kids in the first place.
The context doesn’t help your argument; the military kills unsuspecting civilians all the time, and not with knives.
Do you truly believe that knives are somehow deadlier than firearms because they’re quieter? What about a suppressed .300 Blackout, or even a .22 with subsonics?
Zeiss stuff has been great in my experience, but you might want to check out Meopta for legit Euro optics that are at least the match of the Conquest series at that price point. If you can find one of their ZD scopes, you’re getting proper alpha glass.
Yeah how dare anyone criticize the police based on their actual actions and decisions? Maybe tackling and pepper-spraying those parents was just part of their training.
