I think something with a similar footprint to the Rincon but with a two pole design or different from the pyramid tipi style for more “liveable” space would be absolutely fantastic for a one man option with a stove jack.
I’ve tried a bunch of different things but have had the best luck with the stalkasins. There’s pros and cons to any of them but I feel like they’re the best balance of durability but still quiet. The main reason I’ve used them is the lace up fit can fit really well and not have any slop like...
My otc ‘24 buck. I had drawn an elk tag and packed in a couple days early but had a valid deer tag. Hesitant to wear myself out prior to my elk hunt I still couldn’t resist when my best buck to date stepped out. Still so thrilled!
+1 for the 147s. After shooting the 156 exclusively last year I wanted to try the 147. One shot per animal ranging from 210 to just over 800. Furthest a critter made it was 19 yards with the eldm. Just seems to do a bit more tissue damage based on the four animals I’ve seen so far this year...
My first rifle bull, hunted and killed this bull solo. Spent all day breaking him down and shuttling meat. Met up with a friend who came to help me that night. We hiked through the night and almost made it back as the sun was rising the next morning. My friend snapped this picture on the final...

I too settled on just using the 147s for my 6.5 prc. Still rocking the regular hybrid target 215 out of my 300 though and loving it. I did have a friend kill a muley with a creed with one of the 144 LRHT at 430 yds and it was dead on its feet. Still don’t know of anyone who has killed with the...

+1 with everything said here…. Find the listed powders or which couple are generally good for specific cartridge and bullets you’re using and start with the faster powders listed. Sure you’ll lose some overall velocity but typically with the faster powders you’ll see a lower es. Applied...
That’s awesome man. I’ve thought about trying an 18” 7 prc as my next build haha seems like it’d be fun! Those are some killer speeds for that length I bet you’re stoked with that!
My barrel length is 20” as well my buddy’s saum is 18” sounds like a sweet setup you’ve got! n560 should work great for you. Just start low and work your way up! Best of luck man!
I’ve had really good luck with the same 215s in my 300 prc. I know the long range versions are a bit more pointed and haven’t heard how that changes things. I’m sure they’ll probably do just fine. But you are right that 215 is an awesome bullet!
Looking at using the 153.5s out of a 6.5 PRC. I don’t know anybody personally who has used them hunting. If you’ve used any of the Berger LRHTs in any cartridge or weight I’m curious what terminal results were like on critters! Cheers!
