Kodiak Canvas Flexbow deluxe 10x10. By no means a new model, but it was my first foray into canvas tents. From family summer camping to fall base camp it was fantastic. Love this tent and am looking at more canvas options to get rid of my nylon sweatboxes - i’ll deal with the weight penalty.
I’m partial to the Katadyn BeFree filters - you can get various size bottles/reservoirs and they flow faster for longer than the Sawyer ones I’ve used.
Budget was already mentioned above, and Ryder is another place to check. You can sometimes get a better deal from them renting their 26’ non-cdl trucks than uhaul will give you. Their panel vans can hold a good number of boxes and are good for multiple shorter trips than dealing with a trailer...

I’ve been shooting with a 55# @ 28” Kodiak Magnum since about 2001. I guess I am lucky I’ve never had an itch to buy something “better” than a Bear. I agree with the posters who advocate for how a bow feels for an individual over buying a specific brand for performance.
No one uses 000 steel wool? Stores flat, won’t absorb water, no mess. Make a birds nest with it and it’ll catch any spark. It doesn’t burn for very long is the downside, but it goes hot. The toilet paper tube idea a few posts up is what I use but filled with sawdust and melted wax - cut it up...
