    Smaller cutting diameter 2-blade mechanicals

I like the afflictor hybrids. The setup seems to minimize loss upon opening (although some energy will be lost) they fly great Anna have a decent cut.

Velociradar vs. Labradar LX vs. Garmin Xero

I’d be using it strictly for archery. I’m a nerd so I would love to see how different vanes and broadheads affect speeds if at all. It’s also much easier to make sight tapes with different velocities.

Velociradar vs. Labradar LX vs. Garmin Xero

Spoke with Caldwell. Apparently it will not display down range speeds. Looks like Lab radar for me :/

Velociradar vs. Labradar LX vs. Garmin Xero

Does anyone know if it will show downrange speeds as well? I watched a bunch of videos from the shot show. Based on what they said it sounds like the chirp constantly calculates speed and distance so I’m assuming yes

Velociradar vs. Labradar LX vs. Garmin Xero

Glad I found this thread. I am strictly in archer that was very interested in the lab radar specifically for the down range velocities. I have found it extremely useful when creating sight tapes and also for the nerd factor of seeing how different broadheads and arrow veins affect velocity. I...

    2024 Bows?

I have an athens vista 33 and 35. They're great bows. They remind me of my old elite answer. Smooth and simple. The new axxis has my attention, but I'm worried they aren't going to hit IBO. Hunting out west I like to have speed if I can. Sometimes you only get a 60 yard shot on a tag...

    Bowmar's beast broadhead

Thats interesting the lawsuits against VIP. I was gonna say VIP looks to have the exact same or very similar deployment system... I figured they'd sue bowmar unless he can prove he had the patent before they did?

    True sleeper optics

I think the Hawke Frontier APO series punch above their weight. I have the 8 and 10x42. I also have a maven b12x56 and think the hawkes are every bit as good, possibly even a hair more sharp.

    Sub $800 Binos?

Hawke Frontier APO. I have the 8x42 I found on craigslist for $250. Liked em so much I ordered the 10x42. Actually really really impressed with their performance. IME far and away better than similarly priced vortex. I have some maven 12x56 and I think they might even be a bit sharper with...

    Dialed archery sight tape builder

I saw this... Does this take into account all the other variables that AA does? Peep to arrow, pin to peep, arrow weight etc? I've made three tapes with AA and they've all been dead nuts accurate providing you are as accurate as possible with what you input. And thats with only using 20 yards...

    Annihilator Broadheads

Interesting. I have the stay sharp 344 and tried sharpening some 100 grain annihilator. I started at 240-2500. While it did improve the sharpness it didn't make them waht I would call 'scary sharp.' I also have their removable blade guides and used it on some exodus blades. Those were much...

Another broadhead thread - iron will vs ???

Iron wills are really nice. My buddy bought three. No animals taken with em yet but they fly true and seem to be expertly crafted. I'm in the camp of you don't need to pay that much to get similar results though... I don't see enough of an upgrade vs QAD exodus for example to justify my...

    Grim reaper

I REALLY like the micro hades heads. Seems to be a really good combination of sharpness, durability, and flight. They are one of the more forgiving fixed heads to shoot IMO. The price is very reasonable too. Along with QAD Exodus these might be my 1a and 1b for this type of broadhead.

    Arrow weight

You'll get a lot of opinions on this... I try to keep my weights around 460-520 for elk.

    Good Axis replacement arrow

Have you considered the sirius apollo? My buddy typically shoots axis but bought a dozen apollo to try. I like the ethics components it comes with, and there are so 10% off codes floating around that make the cost a bit more tolerable. I ordered some orions to try. I have a 30.5 draw length...

What vanes do you all use?

I usually use BSI glue with their activator. It worked ok on my initial testing of the super sabres, but not great. I switched to loctite 401 as they recommend and it made a big difference. In fact, I may switch to it for all my fletching. Its pretty thin and runny but easy to use and dries...

What vanes do you all use?

Typically use q2i fusion IIs. Recently started experimenting with DCA super sabre vanes and have been pretty impressed with them. Not sure if I'll make the switch completely, but they've been just as consistent, super easy to adhere, and perhaps a touch quieter.

    Black eagle renegade

I use them with my elite enkore. They were reasonable priced and seem to pretty durable. Missed the target a couple times trying to sight in at 80 and landed into a fence post and it held up quite well. I built em with a 50g Hit insert. That being said once these ones are gone I think I'm...
