I agree with ResearchinStuff. I think your list looks very complete, but there are some things you can leave behind. Making tea/coffee might be nice, but I don't carry a stove for the day, and I agree that you don't need that many pairs of gloves. I also carry ~10 water tablets, mostly because...
I found some used Kowa's and they are amazing. I was thinking I'd end up with some of the Tract Torics after doing some research for something around $500 +/- but found a smokin deal on these and they are incredible. Glad I went this route and highly recommend them.
Have a collection of few types of ammo in 300 WM. I received a new rifle last year as a wedding gift from my wife and was trying to figure out what it likes to eat. In working on my longer range shooting, I want to practice with the same round I'm going to hunt with, and it seems like the Tikka...
Anyone have an elk or speedgoat charge on their card yet? I was charged for bear and deer a day before we found out the tag but nothing for the remaining two yet.
Thank you very much everyone - I greatly appreciate all of the replies and pointing me in the right direction. I'm going to keep listening to podcasts, will pick up a copy of Robby's book and keep in mind that it's geared toward trophies, and will definitely be spending some time in the field...
Burlington, CO by chance? Haha. I grew up there and my grandpa ran the home center. We moved when I was 8 but I love going back to their farm and the slow paced life out that way. I'll find those corner of the bar guys next time we make it out!
In all seriousness, I know what you mean. It seems...
As a new big game hunter, but Colorado native, I feel like I've been missing out on the opportunity to hunt my entire life. Growing up in eastern CO, we shot a lot and hunted small game, but never got into big game. I've been wanting to get back into shooting/hunting, and for the last year and a...
Ttt... think I'm specifically looking for some 10x Schotts at this point.
Missed out on the demos from Tract unfortunately, and the messages I've received resulted in folks deciding they would rather keep their Torics as backups.
This might be a stupid question, but I'm curious why no one has mentioned the 190 grain LRXs? They're just about the same cost and have better BCs and weigh a bit more.
Not officially a reloader yet, but hoping to get into it soon for my 300 wm. Seems like a lot of people like the TTSXs but LRXs...
I received one of these when I posted a WTB ad from Jadenemmy. Different user but similar idea... "I have a lead on one of these, email this guy and he'll hook you up for a good price."
Those look amazing and I've heard great things. Maybe I'll be able to bump my budget up in the next couple of months but for now I just cant quite get there. Thank you!
Have heard these are about the best you can get for the price. Was set on Vipers as I have a Viper scope, but it sounds like these are superior...?
Would welcome any suggestions if you think there's a better bang for my buck. SLCs would be great but can't seem to find any for less than 1200ish...
