So I just spent 5 minutes on these and was able to knock out 5 of the inserts. I don't know if I'll get them all out or not. How many would you like? How does $7 per shaft sound?
I've got nineteen 300 .001 Rampages. All are cut 28.5" C2C, fletched with Blazers.
14 are brand new and never shot with Black Eagle half outs (.30-06 insert weld)
5 are slightly used with 50gr HIT inserts.
Let me know if you're interested.
You could bivy hunt but I wouldn't. On my late November hunt temps were down to zero at night. Also remember not much daylight that time of year. I think that would make for a very long cold night.
I had a late AZ tag a few years ago. It was a tough hunt due to no snow. Bulls this time of the year don't move a lot as they are in recovery mode. My advice is to glass from the ridge tops in the deep nasty country. I did harvest a nice 6x6 but on day seven of the hunt.
I do the same with my MBG. Top pin is set for 30, bottom pin is set for 50. So I hold slightly under at 20, bracket the two pins at 40. Anything longer than 50 I'll range and adjust with slider. I've had really good luck with this system for many years.
I hear what you are saying. I did get my cover direct from Vortex less than a year ago. I was told they would be sending a Gen 2 cover as they did not have any Gen 1's left and didn't anticipate producing any more. Sure hope you find a cover!
I went through this a while back looking for a cover for my Gen 1 85mm razor. I ended up putting a Gen 2 cover on it. It fits well had has served me well. Just an idea.........
If you can drive a little further south, I would highly recommend going to Bowtech's Proshop down in Eugene. They have everything you need. New, used, and demo bows you can try out in their indoor range.
