WOW !!!
Thank you for sharing.
To me there is nothing like handling a pre-64 Mod 70, and a pre-war is just plain an incredible piece of lore and heritage.
As the old saying goes "They are not making any more of them".
Please if you can, do not change a thing, and take it hunting !
And if you...
The baseboard itself appears to be standard colonial style/profile.
The corner piece is a bullnose corner block.
They are available in a variety of profiles for inside/outside base corners.
Sample clip I pulled off a web page below.
The block in your picture appears to be a basic rounded edge...
While I cannot speak directly about the Super Grade, I have purchased 3 current production Mod 70s in the past 2/3 years. 2-Extreme Weather & 1-Featherweight.
The FWT is a safe queen, but I did scope and sight it in. Shoots incredibly well.

Ideally I would like to do a side-by-side field comparison with the 20s
However, my post-holiday pocket-book has denied my request
Hopefully still have some days afield before the seasons run out, to further test them.
Here is what I can report on my personal experience to date, from the field :
Removed the spotter from my pack and have been carrying the Zulu6 16x (in the pack)
With a pair of Swaro EL Range in my chest...
