    You'd be fine with any moderate sized fixed head. 29" @ 50lb is plenty of energy. My mother shot a big bodied sika stag with 34lbs, 27" draw. 3 blade grim reaper hades pro. Full pass through at 26 yards. Elk is a bigger animal but he will have plenty of energy. I would go with a 3 blade head...

    If the old arrows are doing the same I would say it's either you torqueing the bow slightly different. Other form things could be face contact. The limbs deflections may have changed over time and require the top hats to be adjusted to get it shooting a bullet again. I would do a walk back...

    I was shooting a 27" 400 out of the VXR 31.5 at 62lbs, 29" draw with the standard insert and found jumping up to the 340 grouped better for me even with the standard insert. I would stick with the 340s. You could even shorten them up but it just depends were you like the end of the shaft to come...

    All the bow companies seem to be running 8 to 12 week build times. They are usually pretty good at bumping bows up the list if they or the archery shop made a mistake and it didn't get ordered. Frustrating to have it keep getting delayed!
