To Dovetail or Not?

I've used both dovetail and fixed mount MBG sights on my VXR. With the dovetail, it pushes the sight about a 1/4" right, because of the mounting block. With the thickness of the VXR riser and the dovetail block, I needed to purchase a longer windage bar from MBG, and that barely gave me enough...

Setting Peep: Where to position front sight

When I'm setting up a new bow, I make sure the bow is set to specs. Then paper tune. After I have it shooting perfectly, them I add my sight. I adjust the pins horizontally so the pins are above the arrow. Then I set the vertical adjustment in the middle. At that point, I install the peep. You...

Spine question. Simple yes or no im guessing

They are definitely over spined. Your could try it, but you probably will have a hard time tuning it. If you can, add some point weight. With my Black Eagle arrows, you can add weight to insert through the back end of the arrow.

Paper tune issue

Make sure you don't have any clearance issues. I use spray foot powder on my arrows/fletchings. It'll show you if there is any contact.

How do you carry your bow?

Increasing draw weight - Revolt X

Yes, you can twist both cables equally, but that will also increase the draw weight and length. You could also twist the string. Check all the specs, ata, brace and weight.

Mule Deer Populations on the Decline? By Dr. Michael Street

I've hunted the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains for over 25 years. We noticed that the mule deer population as been in decline for about the last 10 years. Tags are way down too.
