Opinion on shelters in the PNW

I'm leaning in that direction for the same reasons. But I'm 6'3", and my concern is my head/feet pressing against the walls. I haven't been able to get hands on some of the brands I'm considering like Kuiu or Big Sky because of lack of retailers in the NW. Recommendations?

2 man tent help. Kuiu or Stone Galcier

Been looking at Kuiu Mountain Stars, and have read some about the Big Sky tents with the similarities in their exterior pole design. Does anyone else have any experience with the Big Sky tents? Chinook or Revolution. Finding much info or reviews on them has been limited

    DIY gun stock finish

If you do, try some test sprays on some cardboard at different distances to gauge how thick the webbing applies. Mine seemed to apply thicker on the outer edge of the spray pattern

    DIY gun stock finish

    DIY gun stock finish

Glad to hear your work is holding up. I'm hoping for the same, but the nice thing is it doesn't, you can start over again. Do remember what clear coat you used?

Last thing before the flat clear coat was the black webbing paint to add some extra texture on top of the textured base. It was a...

I know its an old thread, but it fits my exact question so i thought i'd try and generate some respnses. I'm am new to the backpack hunting scene. Venturing away from all the lands that have turned to 'pay to play' permits. Looking for a 2 person shelter for 2-3 night stays, maybe longer...

    Kodiak Island August or November?

Ya, we got lucky that the lake bank area where we ended up was alot of small smooth gravels. Made staying in the tipi dry and more comfortable, able to smooth over and level out under the sleeping pads

    Kodiak Island August or November?

A friend and I did a DIY fly in on the south end of Kodiak during the first of Sept. 2021. Filled 3 of our 4 tags (hard horn and velvet). Would highly recommend the trip and would do it again. Weather cut our trip down to 4 days in the field. 3rd day was a meat Looking at either going back for...
