    Highly don't recommend

I had mine out at 35, it definitely did suck, but was worth it after a few weeks. I did have one bleeding episode that I couldn't stop with ice from pushing recovery too fast. Take it slow.

    Valle Vidal NM Turkey

I had an elk tag there in 2020. I never saw turkeys, but the best habitat for them is the east side of the unit.

    Archery release for my 12yo?

I hunt with a hinge. But, I got my son one of the thumb trigger releases, so similar style. I will switch him to a hinge soon enough. Easier to teach proper technique when we are both using the same style. Even with a thumb they can get punchy, so you gotta watch them. In the end the hinge wins.

    S-corp set-up

I already have one s-corp that I had an attorney do for me and manage the annual filings etc, it was expensive to set up and the annual things arent cheap either. I need to set up another one and am looking to save money by going through legal zoom or a similar site. Seems easy enough and saves...

    NAPA CV Axles

Not NAPA, but I bought a set of Sawyer Auto for the front of my GX470 off Amazon and have been surprised how good they are for being a cheap China product.

    Whitetail packs

I use a kuiu 2300. I saddle hunt alot, packs that gear great. I used to use a ebrlestock x2, which was awesome but made for a shorter guy IMO. I'm a taller guy at 6-3 and the kuiu with the tall frame just fit me better.

Top Tips for a new hunter

I would start with bowhunting. Get a tree stand. Set it up on a field edge near where a deer trail comes out. Sit there, be still and watch. You'll learn about wind and how deer use it. You'll see deer, maybe not by you but it's still cool. Now that you are hunting you can dive into the deep...

Down Pants Under Bibs - Anyone Tried It?

I do this. Find a pair with full length leg zippers. I leave the legs zipped open for my walk in then zip up and put the bibs over them when I get to my stand. I have a set of gray wolf woolens bib/ parka and there are times I will layer a puffy under the jacket too if it's nasty cold or windy...

    + cwd

I hunt whitetail in a cwd County in IL. They only test the gun season deer. Never had a positive test, but most of my deer are archery kills, so who knows? Have had multiple buddies deer test positive with those deer consumed by them. Nobody gone crazy yet. My family eats all the deer with no...
