I had mine out at 35, it definitely did suck, but was worth it after a few weeks. I did have one bleeding episode that I couldn't stop with ice from pushing recovery too fast. Take it slow.
I hunt with a hinge. But, I got my son one of the thumb trigger releases, so similar style. I will switch him to a hinge soon enough. Easier to teach proper technique when we are both using the same style. Even with a thumb they can get punchy, so you gotta watch them. In the end the hinge wins.

Not NAPA, but I bought a set of Sawyer Auto for the front of my GX470 off Amazon and have been surprised how good they are for being a cheap China product.
I use a kuiu 2300. I saddle hunt alot, packs that gear great. I used to use a ebrlestock x2, which was awesome but made for a shorter guy IMO. I'm a taller guy at 6-3 and the kuiu with the tall frame just fit me better.

I do this. Find a pair with full length leg zippers. I leave the legs zipped open for my walk in then zip up and put the bibs over them when I get to my stand. I have a set of gray wolf woolens bib/ parka and there are times I will layer a puffy under the jacket too if it's nasty cold or windy...
